Taste of Lincolnshire Food Fayre - November 28th and 29th 2008

Our stand this year was on an excellent corner position, next to Uncle Henry’s and by the door to the demonstration kitchen, so most people had to walk past us! As we have nothing to sell it is always difficult getting people to stop at the stand so this year we did a Free Prize Draw of a Hamper of Local Produce with a £25 Meat Voucher to be spent at one of our Retail Members shops. This proved extremely popular and we had 490 entries. All entrants had to tell us where they sourced their meat from at present and where they would spend their voucher. This gave us an opportunity of handing them a leaflet, telling them about our scheme and where they can source Quality Lincolnshire meat from. The winning ticket was kindly drawn on the Sunday afternoon by local celebrity chef Rachel Green.
The Winner was Mrs Yvonne Woods from Branston and she was going to spend the voucher at Uncle Henry’s Farm Shop. She was absolutely thrilled!
